Biography

EDWARDS, Catherine E, age 94, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Lincoln Park Manor. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; sisters, Helen Smart, Leanna Gibboney, and Alma Reese; and brother, Charles Miller Jr. She survived by brother, Howard Miller; nieces, Charlene Brown of Kettering, OH., Phyllis Mays of Miamisburg, OH., Eloise Cunningham of Beavercreek, OH., Jean Palumbo of Phoenix, AZ., Kim Villella of Phoenix AZ., and Sherry Brauchla of Bargersville, IN.; nephews, Ronald Gibboney of Dayton, OH., Jim Reese of Georgia, and Scott Miller of Mason, OH.; as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She always referred to her nieces and nephews as her children and treated them as such. Catherine was a member of local 696 UAW retirees and the Delco Moraine 25 year club. She retired from Delco Moraine division of General Motors. Catherine was a member of Aley United Methodist Church and was a life long volunteer to the Red Cross. The family will receive friends Friday, March 12, 2010 from 12 noon until the time of service at 2 P.M. at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BEAVERCREEEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
