Boardman, Richard W., age 82, of Riverside, OH, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2010, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Frances J. Boardman, of Riverside, OH; his 5 children, Deborah K. (James) Jacobson, of Marquette, MI, Kenneth C. (Terri) Boardman, of Guam, Richard W. (Lisa) Boardman, of Dayton, OH, Valerie Z. (Joe) Dooley, of Fayetteville, NC and Michael R. Boardman, of Kettering, OH; 7 grandchildren, Jamie (Rick) Rhoades, of Marquette, MI, Sarah Jacobson, of Boston, MA, Riki Boardman, Dayton, OH, Nichole Boardman, of Del Rio, TX, Joedi, Riffle, of Oklahoma City, OK ,Kylen Dooley, of Fayetteville, NC and Richard Lee (Bianca) Boardman, of Guam; 4 great grandchildren, Morgan and Delaney Rhoades, of Marquette, MI, Antonyo Lovett, of Dayton, OH and Jaden Boardman, of Guam. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1975 as a Senior Master Sergeant. Richard was a kind man who taught by example the importance of personal responsibility and respect for others and will be greatly missed by his family. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. If desired, contributions may be made in Richard’s name to a charity of choice.
